The audit commission of the Lithuanian Dental Chamber is a controlling body that periodically monitors and controls the financial activity of the Chamber and its territorial departments, as well as informs the general meeting of members and the council about the results of their audits. The audit commission is elected for a term of 4 years. Provisions of audit commissions are approved and amended by the general meeting or conference of Chamber members. The audit commission is composed of 5 members. Three members are elected from amongst dentists and dentists-specialists, one from amongst dental hygienists or dental assistants and one from amongst dental technicians. The audit commission conducts an annual audit of the Chamber’s financial activity up until 15 April. Audit acts are provided to the general meeting of members of the Chamber.
